Abstract

A herbicidal composition comprises a trichlorobenzyloxy alkanol and a substituted uracil of the formula: <FORM:1083752/A5-A6/1> in which R1 is a secondary or tertiary alkyl radical having from 3 to 8 carbon atoms, R2 is an alkyl radical having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms and X is bromine or chlorine, the weight ratio of trichlorobenzyloxyalkanol to uracil being 0.5:1 to 10:1. The composition may contain other herbicides, e.g. 2,4-D or a salt or ester thereof. The composition may contain surface-active agents and stickers and may be in solid or liquid form.
