Switches, quick - action; covers and lids.-A tumbler switch carried wholly by the cover plate a of the switch casing has the tumbler lever f pivoted on the front face of the cover to a bridge-piece b secured to or integral with the rear face thereof, and the contact-member g pivoted to a bracket j on a slotted insulating-plate d fixed to the rear of the cover which also carries the fixed contacts l, as shown. The inner end of the tumbler lever is connected to the contact member by an insulating-link k. The screws which secure the metal cover-plate to the metal casing serve to earth the tumbler lever. An insulating cover-plate may be used and the plate d dispensed with. Earthing is ensured in this case by a wire connexion between the tumbler bridge and the casing.
