Abstract

1,083,179. Floor cleaning machines. C.T. & R.E. Inc. Sept. 1, 1965, No. 37430/65. Heading A4F. [Also in Division B3] An atachment for a floor cleaning machine 30 having an oscillatory drive means comprises a resilient pad 27 secured to a support plate 17 having on its upper surface a member engageable by an eccentric disc, or other drive member forming part of said oscillatory drive means. The support plate 17 has a vertical portion 22 over which the pad 27 extends for the cleaning of skirting boards. The pad 27 is covered with a material 31 having bristles or comprising nylon woven pads impregnated with abrasive granules or chemical cleaning compounds. The vertical portion 22 is omitted from an alternative embodiment suitable for cleaning floors only.
