Abstract

A pressurized dispensing container is charged with propellant comprising a saturated solution of carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide or nitrogen in a liquefied chlorofluorinated saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon. The liquid to be sprayed may be an organic liquid, of which numerous examples are given or an aqueous liquid. The liquid to be sprayed is introduced into the container which is then closed by a valved closure, after which the propellant is introduced through the valve.
