A lace holder comprises a centrally apertured circular disc the edge of which is recessed as shown to allow the lace ends threaded through the central aperture to be threaded in and out of the recesses. The disc may be double convex in shape. The disc may also have surface projections the outer edges of which are recessed to retain the lace.
