Abstract
1,080,727. Filing papers. WILSON JONES CO. Dec. 9, 1965, No. 52358/65. Heading B6E. In a flexible post binder wherein the free ends 33 of the posts are retained in a bent-over position lying on a follower plate 17, the plate 17 is channel shaped with inwardly projecting lips 18, and members 34 are slidable along the plate 17 to retain the post ends 33 and have oppositely disposed hook portions which enable the members to be snapped into position on the plate 17 from a position above the plate. The paper sheets 21 are retained in cover members 11, 12, each having an extended flap fitted over the rear edges of the sheets, the plate 17 being secured by rivets 20 to the flap of cover 11 and the posts are threaded through perforations in the flaps, sheets and plate 17. The plate 17 and posts are made of resilient resinous material, and each post may have a screw-head portion, and a screw-threaded portion (32, 31, respectively, Fig. 2). In a modification (Figs. 3-5), two opposed follower plates (17) are used, and flexible posts without heads are used. The free ends of the posts are bent over and retained by slider members 34 in each plate (17).
