[Also in Division F1] A mixing device 1 in the fuel pipe from a pump to a carburetter has air inlet flanges 7 leading to a perforated plate 12 in which air is mixed with the fuel to form a foam. The plate 7, which may be of porous material, is held between sieves 8, 15, by a plug 2 screwing into the body 1. Each sieve comprises a pair of flat gauzes with a corrugated gauze therebetween.
