Abstract

1,075,732. Filters. VOKES Ltd. Jan. 2, 1964 [Jan. 8, 1963], No. 860/63. Headings BID and BIT. A filter consisting of a length of paper filter medium folded back and forth over separators is bonded within a frame by a plastisol adhesive. The frame comprises two tray like members 5 and two members 6 with upstanding flanges on two opposed sides. The tray-like members 6 are filled with plastisol after the inside of the tray has been coated with a vinyl based lacquer, and the plastisol penetrates the filter placed thereon and after curing bonds evenly both to the frame and to the filter 1. The members 5 and 6 may be fixed together by rivets 10 engaging in the plane flanges 9 of the members 6. A sealing strip 11 may be secured around the edges of the two largest faces of the filter. Grills 7 of expanded metal are located within the members 5 and 6 and cover the largest faces of the filter.
