Abstract

1,074,856. Making monogrammic signs. FERRANTI Ltd. Nov. 12, 1964 [Nov. 13, 1963], No. 46071/64. Heading B3A. [Also in Division G5] For appropriately passing conductor wires through magnetizable coils (14), (Fig. 2, not shown), activation of which suitably orientates discs forming part of a monogrammic sign as disclosed in Specification 934,001, wires looped about shanks 22 are secured to a post 42, or a single wire is (as shown) looped alternately about post 42 and shanks 22 and cut suitably after all the coils have been threaded on. A comb 44 is pressed on shoulders 36 of the shanks to deflect upwardly selected lengths of the wire(s) 35 which are then gathered together to enable a coil (14) to be threaded on to them. The procedure is repeated, using a different comb for each coil, until all the coils have been assembled on the wire(s).
