Abstract

1,074,048. Transistor frequency multiplying circuits. AUTOMATIC TELEPHONE & ELECTRIC CO. Oct. 15, 1964, No. 42041/64. Heading H3T. In a circuit for producing an odd harmonic of a fundamental sine wave O, the sine wave is squared by a transistor TX and reverse diode D and the required odd harmonic selected by a tuned circuit TC. The diode and transistor should both be made from the same element (Si or Ge). A plurality of circuits TC may be used, tuned to different harmonics. TX is biased on by R1, R2, is saturated by each negative half-cycle from O and out off by diode D taking the base current during each positive half-cycle.
