Abstract
The invention comprises compounds of the formula <FORM:1071470/C2/1> wherein Z represents a furfurylidene, benzyl idene or alkylidene group, R1 represents an alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl group and R2 represents a hydrocarbon group; acid-addition salts thereof; a process for their preparation comprising reacting a hydrazinoacetic acid ester of the formula Z=N-NH-CH2-COOR2 with a cyanate of the formula R1-CNO in an anhydrous, inert, organic solvent and, if desired, converting the iminoether obtained into an acid-addition salt; and a process for the preparation of hydantoin derivatives of the formula <FORM:1071470/C2/2> by heating a compound of the invention in an inert, organic solvent.
