Abstract

1,070,109. Microscopes. BAUSCH & LOMB Inc. May 13, 1965 [May 18, 1964], No. 20341/65. Heading G2J. A stereomicroscope has two optical systems each of which comprises an objective 11, front movable zoom lens 13, rear movable zoom lens 14, and stationary relay lens 15 producing an image at 16 with a magnification range of at least 1:7 which is viewed by eyepiece 17, the numerical aperture varying substantially linearly with change in magnification so that the image is of substantially constant brightness at all magnifications. Optical data are given for the arrangement shown with two different eyepieces one giving a magnification of 10 and the other 15.
