[Also in Division F4] Metals and metalloids in organic products, for example sulphur in petroleum products may be estimated using the apparatus of Fig. 3, wherein the sample is fed in at 13 and burned in the burner assembly housed in combustion chamber 8, the products of combustion being absorbed in an absorbent solution, for example a solution of hydrogen peroxide, in receiver flask 10, and the absorbent solution then being analysed. The burner is described in Division F4.
