Abstract

1,068,514. Feeding sheets. H. T. BACKHOUSE. April 30, 1964 [May 3, 1963], No. 17612/63. Heading B6B. [Also in Division B8] A resilient suction lifting device 11 has a part-spherical socket 15 which pivots on a ball 14 having a bore 16 through which suction is applied, the head being attached to the ball by a band 17 tightened by a screw 18. In a second embodiment the ball has radial bores which connect with the bore 16 and apply suction to the inside of the socket 15 to prevent it moving. The device may be used in the type of sheet feeding machine described in Specification 946,946.
