Abstract

1,065,652. Building units. ENTREPRISE ROUZAUD & FILS. April 3, 1964 [Jan. 29, 1964], No. 13779/64. Heading E1B. A building unit comprises a single concrete block, or (as shown) an assembly of several blocks 1a, 1b secured together, the block or assembly having a facing 4 of natural stone, sandstone tiles, or ceramic mosaic pieces, and being provided with keying pieces secured in sockets in the bonding faces of the block or each block, the length and thickness of the or each block and the spacing between the keying pieces being based upon a module of 6 cm. The facing 4 is spaced from each block by a layer 5 of concrete, cement, or glue, and may also be held by cramps 6. The blocks are formed with cavities 2 which, in a wall, may contain reinforced concrete.
