Abstract

Pistons; piston packing. -In order to prevent distortion of the cup - leather packings of pistons for telemotors or other fluidpressure apparatus, the leathers are supported by recessed split spring rings. Fig. 1 shows a piston provided with two cup-leathers c secured between the parts h, g' of the piston and a middle plate d, which is formed with curved flanges at its periphery. Plates e, curved at their peripheries to fit the cupleathers, are recessed to receive the edges of the split rings f, while flanges f<1> on the rings f are received in recesses formed between the plates c and the parts g', h of the piston. The flanges f<1> are formed with perforations to permit the circulation of the fluid.
