Abstract

A fire - fighting composition comprises 40-99% by weight of boric oxide particles, at least 1% of a waterproofing and/or flow-improving additive; e.g. Mg or Al stearate, talc, mica or calcium phosphate, and from 0 to 60% of a known, solid fire extinguishant e.g. an alkali metal bicarbonate.
