106,130. Goldring, T. H., and Wormley, W. F. May 9, 1916. Tampering with, preventing; bands, strengthening.-A self-sealing packing-case, which cannot be opened without being destroyed, comprises an open-ended body 1 of thin fibre board, &c., creased to form the corners and joined up, and end closures 5 of fibre board having secured to them angleshaped sheet-metal strips 6, 7, which fit against the inside of the body portion. Hook-shaped edges 8 of these strips are adapted to engage with sheetmetal strips 2 secured to the inner sides of the body walls and formed with hook portions 3, which are spring-held against the walls so as to interlock with the edges 8. The body 1 may be knocked down for stocking. The metal strips serve to strengthen the case.
