Means for locating one end of a nuclear reactor branch pipe 1 connected with a pressure vessel 2 and projecting above concrete biological shielding 5 comprises a barrel member 6 secured to steel facing 8 of the shielding and having an internal flange 9 the face 10 of which provides a narrow bearing surface, and a small clearance between the face and the pipe allows lateral movements of the pipe due to thermal expansions and contractions of the vessel 2.
