Abstract

1,060,768. Burners. SIMONCARVES Ltd., and DR. C. OTTO & COMP. G.m.b.H. June 30, 1964 [July 3, 1963], No. 26987/64. Heading F4T. A burner for furnace heating comprises a primary fuel nozzle 16 surrounded by an annular primary air conduit 38 controlled by a rotary hit-and-miss valve 54 and a series of secondary nozzles 70 supplied the secondary fuel passages 64, 68, the secondary air being supplied through the annular passage 98 around the conduit 38 under the control of a cylindrical hit- and-miss valve 96. The nozzles 70 are controlled by needle valves 82, the lower ends of which are connected to a ring 86 which is provided with rods 88 connected to one end of a bellows 84 so that the opening is dependent on the gas pressure in the conduit 68.
