Abstract

1,059,014. Automatic exchange equipment. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. May 19, 1965 [May 21, 1964], No. 21190/65. Heading H4K. Line current from the exchange battery is supplied to each wire of a subscriber's line through the emitter-collector path of one of a pair of transistors whose emitters are connected to one and the other poles of the battery and by means of adjusting the working point of the transistors the additional attenuation created in the transmission path by this feed circuit can be made symmetrical. The transistors are turned off when the D.C. loop is opened. Diodes connected to the bases of the transistors have temperature response characteristics the same as those of the base-emitter diode of the transistors to stabilize the working point of the transistors against temperature fluctuations. The voltage across a resistance in one emitter path is monitored to detect changes in the line condition.
