Abstract
1,057,120. Gas distribution systems. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Dec. 8, 1965 [Dec. 9, 1964], No. 52151/65. Heading F4X. [Also in Division G3] An arrangement for maintaining a constant mass flow of gas to consumer devices at which there may be a varying pressure drop, comprises a chamber 4, maintained at a constant temperature and having a pressure gauge 9. Gas is supplied from a source 1 at a pressure p q through a reducing valve 5 to the chamber where the pressure is p o and flow from the chamber to a consuming device 8 taken place through a Laval nozzle or apertured diaphragm 6. The pressure at the consuming device 8 is p v and the arrangement is such that P q #P o #2P v . The gauge 9 gives a reading of the mass flow and the nozzle may be replaced for different flows.
