Abstract

1,056,677. Electromagnetic relays. VITRAMON Inc. Aug. 4, 1964 [Jan. 8, 1964], No. 31237/64. Heading H2B. On energization of coil 32 armature 28 is attracted to release a spring restraining member 19 from engagement with contact blade 18a to permit the blade to engage a fixed contact 17a. The armature displacement is such that the member 19 is completely disengaged from the contact blade 18a whilst it engages fixed contact 17a and thus no vibration is transmitted from the armature to the contacts 17a, 18a.. The coil is enclosed in a magnetic housing 12 whose end plates 23, 24 have bosses 27, 26 which project into and support the coil. The displacement of the armature is adjustable by screw 30 in end plate 23. The contacts are enclosed in a separate housing 13. The armature has a coating 36 to prevent sticking.
