Abstract
1,055,692. Photo-electric movement detection. EIDGENOESSICHES MILITAER DEPARTMENT. Feb. 13, 1964 [Feb. 20, 1963], No.6169/64. Heading G1A. In order to detect whether a body is moving or at rest a grid 1 is arranged for movement with the body and during movement intermittently interrupts the light beam from a source to a detector unit 2. The electrical output of the detector unit during movement is an A. C. signal fed through an amplifier to charge a capacitor 4. As long as movement persists the capacitor is charged and a relay controlled by the potential across it held closed. With the body at rest no charging signals are fed to the capacitor which discharges through a resistor and the relay is thus released.
