Abstract

1,055,557. Non-slip soles and heels. LUCIEN BOUGIE Inc. Oct. 1, 1964, No. 39921/64. Heading A3B. An anti-slip boot has a triangular piece 17, 17<SP>1</SP> of anti-slip resilient material, with projections 19, 19<SP>1</SP>, mounted in the sole 5 and in the heel 7 with an angle 21, 21<SP>1</SP> thereof pointing forwardly of the boot. The pieces are glued into apertures in the sole and heel. Preferably the projections extend along arcs of circles having a common centre at the apex of angle 21, 21<SP>1</SP>. As shown the sole has a bent shank portion 9, and on inner heel 11 is applied between the heel and the boot.
