Abstract

1,053,543. Rear-view mirrors. WINGARD Ltd. June 28, 1963 [May 31, 1962], No. 20962/62. Heading B7J. [Also in Division F4] A combined vehicle interior rear-view mirror and lamps for illuminating the interior is characterized in that the lamps 17, Figs. 1 and 2, is mounted within a hollow base 13 which is integral with the arm 12 supporting the mirror head 10. The arm 12 has a hollow boss portion 24 to engage a windscreen and prevent vibration of the mirror. The base is reinforced by ribs 15 and has holes 14 to receive screws for securing the base to the vehicle roof. A transparent or translucent cover 18 is hingeable at 19 to the base and has a finger piece 21 whereby it can be moved inwardly or outwardly to operate, via its tongue portion 22, a switch for the lamp 17.
