Abstract

105,258. Lake, W. B., Moscrip, W., and Sharpe, D. April 1, 1916. Foundry ladles.-The spout of a foundry ladle comprises an approximately right-angled passage b<1> whereby the slag is adapted to be retained on the top of the metal during pouring. The upper part of the passage is inclined inwardly towards the ladle, and the passage is preferably formed in a renewable refractory block c, the inner surface c<1> of which partly overlies the interior of the ladle.
