Joints with yielding outer pipe compressed.- Relates to couplings for rubber or like hose, of the kind in which the hose e is clamped on to a nozzle e<1> by means of a divided sleeve f<1> having a tapered and threaded outer surface which is engaged by a nut g<3> correspondingly tapered and threaded on its inner surface. In order to prevent longitudinal movement or blowing-off under pressure of the sleeve f<1>, the parts of the sleeve are formed with inwardly projecting flanges f<2> adapted to engage a recess d in the nozzle e<1>. Rotation of the sleeve when the nut g<3> is being screwed up is prevented by pins g on the nozzle projecting into slots f<4> in the sleeve.
