In an intrusion detection system having a single elongated light source, and a plurality of light conducting tubes each having a photo resistor adjacent one end, e.g. as described in Specification 994,558, the tubes each include end members with aligned rectangular slots which are so dimensioned as to pass light from an area at the light source limited to the width of the source and a selected segmental length of it.
