Abstract

1,048,655. Cigarette-making machines. K. KÍRBER. June 25, 1963 [June 26, 1962], No. 24491/62. Heading A2C. In a device for controlling a rejector device for rejecting faulty rod-like articles such as cigarettes an air flow resulting from the checking of the articles and variable according to the properties of the articles is utilized for actuating a signal source which operates on control means in turn operating the rejector device, an oscillator circuit being provided as the control means. The air flow through the cigarettes may be determined as described in Specification 1,048,652 and the device for controlling the rejector device may be of similar construction to that described with reference to Fig. 3 in the said Specification except that the air flow is used to control the position of an iron dust core responder member 13 in a tube 7. The member 13 acts as a movable armature within the coils 17 of an oscillator circuit unbalance of which is arranged to cause a rejector device to operate and to operate an indicator lamp 27.
