Abstract

1,048,064. Telegraphy. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGS G.m.b.H. May 27, 1965 [May 29, 1964], No. 22575/65. Heading H4P. A receiver for frequency shift telegraph signals comprises an oscillator providing a signal of frequency equal to the mean of the shift frequencies, which signal is fed to two mixers, one via a 90 degrees phase shifter. The received telegraph signals pass to the mixers, the mixer outputs having a relative phase of Œ90 degrees dependent upon the frequency received. From these outputs is derived the D.C. telegraph signal. In a first embodiment, the mixer outputs pass to phase shifters which produce signals having a relative phase of 0 degrees or 180 degrees which pass to a phase detector to provide double current signals. In a second embodiment the mixers feed a gating and delay arrangement which provides pulses to operate a toggle giving the double current signals.
