1,045,160. Anti-dazzle screens. E. H. S. VAN SOMEREN. Feb. 7, 1964 [Feb. 7, 1963], No. 5024/63. Heading B7J. A rectangular anti-dazzle screen 1, Fig. 1, of polyvinylchloride, securable by a peripheral strip of pressure-sensitive adhesive 5 to a vehicle windscreen 2, is transparent over its entire area but the transparency changes progressively so that the degree of light transmission is least in a central longitudinal strip, the optical density increasing from the inner end edge towards the end edge 4 at the offside of the windscreen, and the width of the longitudinal strip increasing from the inner end edge to the edge 4. The variation of the optical density of a coating 3 of varnish or printing ink on the screen, across its width, at one particular position along the length of the screen, is shown in Fig. 2.
