Abstract

1,045,158. Invalid chairs. NATIONAL FUND FOR RESEARCH INTO POLIOMYELITIS & OTHER CRIPPLING DISEASES. July 16, 1965 [May 13, 1964], No. 44850/63. Heading B7B. The seat frame 7 of a wheel chair is supported on a wheeled frame 4 by links 19 and sprockets 6 which engage fixed chains 5 housed in the frame. Rotation of the sprockets 6 is effected by the patient operating the hand lever 10 thus moving the seat from the elevated position shown dotted to a lower position in which it serves as a driving seat in an automobile such as that described in Specifications 1,001,448 and 1,004,643.
