Abstract

1,044,084. Centrifugal pumps. JAMES BERESFORD & SON Ltd. June 24, 1965 [June 25, 1964], No. 26233/64. Heading F1C. [Also in Division H2] In an electrically driven circulating pump, e.g. for hot water heating systems or chemical plants, having a stator pack 101 completely enclosed by a synthetic plastics moulding 11, the incoming liquid passes through an inlet 14 and a hollow rotor shaft 132 to the impeller 15, and is discharged through passage 17 and an outlet 19 provided with an adjustable plug valve 20. The pump is housed in a two-part metal casing 21. Liquid can pass from the impeller housing into the rotor chamber 131 and thence to the bearing adjacent the inlet 14 for cooling and lubrication.
