Screw propellers.-In addition to the end flanges b, c, between which the wooden laminµ a' of screw propellers are usually secured by bolts f, one or more intermediate flanges d, e having tubular portions i, j, are fitted. These portions i, j engage the driving-shaft m by means of complementary ridges and serrations. The end flanges b, c are coned at g, h, the shaft m being correspondingly tapered at n, o. Specifications 18048/11, 21275/11, and 20993/12, [all in Class 144 (i); Wheels &c.], are referred to.
