Abstract

1,042,004. Waveguide circulators. TELEFUNKEN PATENTVERWERTUNGSGESELLSCHAFT. May 22, 1963 [May 22, 1962], No. 20385/63. Heading H1W. A Y-circulator comprises a ferrite element 2 having a triangular cross-section in a plane parallel with the waveguide axes, the element having a triangular bore 3 filled with a dielectric having good heat-conductive properties, e.g. alumina, beryllia, magnesia. Similar dielectric material may also be interposed between the element and the walls of the junction. The element may comprise alternating layers of ferrite and dielectric materials.
