Abstract

1,041,567. Pipe joints. SERVOTOMIC Ltd. June 21, 1963 [June 23, 1962], Nos. 24237/62 and 24238/62. Heading F2G. [Also in Division F4] The liquid-filled, parallel, double-walled panels 20 and 21 of a combined liquid heater and radiator are connected so that the interiors of the panels remain in communication when one panel is moved relative to the other. In Fig. 4, communication is through a hinge between the panels, the bores 24, 25, 30 and 29 in the blocks 23 and 28 connecting the two interiors and the blocks being connected by sleeve 26 with ring seal 31 so they are pivotable about a vertical axis. Alternatively as in Fig. 7 (not shown), a bellows type expansible coupling 72 between stub pipes 73 connects the interiors. Alternatively again, as in Fig. 8 (not shown), a telescoping swing joint comprises a curved pipe 75 within curved pipe 74, the ends of which are connected by rolling diaphragm 76.
