Abstract

Yarns of synthetic fibres are uniformly heat-treated e.g. to set crimping, in a vessel 15 comprising minor vessels 11 (each having external narrow channels 12 accommodating running yarns 18) interconnected by tubes 13 and 14 and containing a heater 17 immersed in heat transfer liquid 16 the vapour of which fills the vessels.
