Abstract
1,40,396. Centrifugal strainer separator. HEIN, LEHMANN & CO. A.G. Aug. 22, 1963, No. 33269/63. Heading B1D. A centrifuge has two conically flared coaxially mounted sieve drums 1, 12, each drum widening upwardly, to drums being connected together by spring elements so as to be resiliently vibrated relative to one another. Spring groups 5a, 5b exited by mechanical, electromechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic means impart axial vibrations to shaft 2 on which the drums are mounted. Shaft 2 is driven by a pair of symmetrically mounted motors 21, 21a. The drums are coupled by helical springs 10a, 10b or by a rubber-metal or resilient metal element (Figs. 4, 4a not shown). A closed resilient ring 29 or a series of symmetically distributed individual elements may be rigidly connected to metal rings 30alpha, 30, themselves connected to flange 8, 11 of drums 1 and 12 respectively, or a metal ring 31 may be clamped between flanges 8 and 11. The angle of inclination of drum 12 is normally less than the angle of inclination of drum 1 and may be zero. Liquid is discharged by flanged pipe sockets 14a, 15alpha.
