103,855. Kegresse, A. Feb. 11, 1916. Endless - track vehicles.-A vehicle as described in Specification 5015/13 has a pair of endless tracks at the front in addition to those at the rear, all four groups swivelling about the axles. To the ends of each axle 1 are pivoted two springs 2 resting on levers 5 carrying load-supporting rollers R, which run on the endless track 19 passing round two pairs of pulleys 6. The rollers 8 are arranged in symmetrical groups of two or more, and their gudgeons run in line-contact bearings allowing the rollers to tilt. The pulleys 6 are driven by chain or other gearing 17 and are connected to the axle 1 by tension-rods 11, which, under the load of the vehicle, tend to straighten out and increase the tension of the band 19. Rollers 13 on the rods 11 run on arc-shaped guides 14 to take side thrusts. In the front driving-tracks, the rollers 13 and guides 14 are replaced by steering-rods. The belt 19 has a central rib between the pulleys 6, and the rollers 8 have grooves to receive the rib.
