Abstract

1,037,573. Liquid-liquid contacting rotors. R. GRAESSER Ltd. July 14,1965 [June 11,1964], No. 24233/64. Heading B1F. A rotor for use in a horizontal cylindrical casing to which non-miscible or partly miscible liquids may be admitted to effect extraction, comprises a number of discs (3) threaded on to rods (6) parallel to the axis and receptacles (strips 8) arranged between said discs and opening in the direction of rotation, said receptacles being clamped between the discs and externally supported by the rods. Fig. 3 shows in detail the mode of support of a receptacle, and the apparatus is of a generally similar kind to that described and claimed in Specification 972,035. If desired each strip may be welded to an adjacent disc or to the discs on each side in the latter case the rods may be omitted.
