Abstract

1,037,437. Fluid-pressure servomotor systems. BOLKOW G.m.b.H. Sept.3, 1963 [Sept. 12, 1962], No. 34767/63. Heading G3P. A hydraulic servopiston 3 is positioned in accordance with the angular position of a rotary control valve 11 which has supply and exhaust conduits 13, 23 opening to helical grooves 15, 25. The piston 3 has pressure passages 17, 20 running from its opposite sides to holes which normally lie on either side of the groove 15, and exhaust passages 27, 30 leading to holes on either side of the groove 25. The valve 11 is rotated under control of an electromechanical device 80 which operates a rotary valve 40 with chambers 41, 61 Fig. 2 (not shown) connected through a drilling 36 with the supply conduit 13, and fluid flows from these chambers to four chambers 50, 55, 60, 65 bounded by elements 38, 39 secured to the valve 11 and elements 51, 71 fixed to the housing. From these four chambers the fluid escapes through arcuate capillary passages to exhaust passages 45, 75, and the arrangement is such that the elements 38, 39 move in proportion to the deflection of the valve 40 from its neutral position.
