Abstract

1,036,601. Counters. LANDIS & GYR Ltd. Aug. 19, 1963, No. 32754/63. Addition to 985,778. Heading G4D. A distinctively-coloured flag 14 shows through an aperture in the zero of a lower-denomination wheel when transfer has been effected to the next denomination. Both the roller 8 and its associated transfer disc 2 carry an anchor-shaped weight 16. The units roller is driven by an electric motor or the like and when it has turned through half a revolution a pin on the roller engages an abutment 28 on the transfer disc so that the two move together, with the weights 16 balanced against one another. As the units roller approaches zero position the flag is not visible until at a certain point the transfer disc overbalances, effects transfer, and comes to rest with the flag showing.
