A constructional toy has elements each with a pair of recesses in each edge having projections enabling elements to be hingedly joined by elastic bands. Fig. 1 shows a square element A, two of which elements may be joined by elastic bands passed around wall F and resting in recesses D. The edges of element A is rounded so one element may hinge about another. Six such elements could be joined to cube-shaped space. Fig. 3 shows a pentagon-shaped element B attached to a triangular element C. Fig. 7 shows a different type of square element joined to a triangular element and joined by an elastic band which passes into one pair of recesses, is passed down the back of the elements and into the other pair of recesses. Fig. 9 shows a similar method of mounting swingable doors to a similar shaped square element. Figs. 10 and 11 show a square element 46 and a gable element 52, respectively, a U-shaped aperture 48 being established in square member 46 for connecting the gable element 54.
