Abstract

1,035,536. Burners. INDUGAS, GESELLSCHAFT FUR INDUSTRIELLE GASVERWENDUNG m.b.H. July 10, 1964, No. 28478/64. Heading F4T. A burner having a central gas outlet 5 has combustion medium orifices 6 disposed in corresponding faces of corrugations formed in the end wall of the burner the axes of the orifices forming the generatrices of a hyperboloid of revolution. In a radiant tube burner (Fig. 1) the fuel conduit is surrounded by a heat shield 9 and the combustion products flow back through the annular space between the inner tube 10 and outer 12 to the outlet 13 so that, with the assistance of fins 14 the air flowing to the burner head through the tube 4 from the inlet 7 is preheated.
