Abstract

1,034,354. Coating welding electrodes by extrusion. RHEINMETALL G.m.b.H. Feb. 28, 1963 [March 3, 1962], No. 8114/63. Heading B5A. In an extrusion apparatus for producing sheathed welding electrodes the distance between the outlet orifice of the guiding tube 22 for the wire pieces to be sheathed and the extrusion nozzle 19 is variable by axial adjustment of the tube 22. The latter is secured by a pin 6 to a supporting tube 5 which has a screw thread 7 engaging a thread 9 on the nozzle holder 3. The tube 22 is thus adjustable by rotating the tube 5 by means of a hexagonal head 10 thereon, the tube 5 being clamped in its adjusted position by a split clamping ring 12 tightened by a screw 13.
