Abstract

1,033,848. Stacking-machines. SCHLOSSER & CO. G.m.b.H. Dec. 10, 1964 [July 3, 1964], No. 50226/64. Addition to 1,002,387. Heading B8C. [Also in Division B5] The apparatus described in the parent Specification (see Division B5) is modified by having a vertically reciprocable lift platform 11 which receives concrete articles from supporting board 4 when the latter is retracted to a position beneath mould 2. The lift descends by substantially the depth of the articles after each such delivery. Supporting board 4 and mould support 3 are reciprocated by a piston 6 over a vibrating table 5. The articles are transferred to the platform 11 by a vertically reciprocable stop 16, preferably hydraulically operated, and descent of the articles on to the platform is eased by providing board 4 with a bevelled end. Final removal may be facilitated by pushing a board 13 supporting a stack of articles on to a roller track 15. The stack may comprise layers interspersed with sheets of paper or the like and one layer may be angled with respect to another by rotation of the platform. Alternatively platform 11 may be suspended rather than supported in which case a conveyer may supply and/or remove boards 13.
