Abstract

An adhesive tape comprises a polyethylene terephthalate support-coated with a mixture of cellulose triacetate and a polyester of a phthalic acid and an aliphatic diol. The coating is applied from a solution in acetone, methylene chloride, chloroform, ethylene chlorohydren, 1; 2-dichloroethane or an alcohol, or mixtures thereof. The acid component of the polyester may comprise 55-100 mole per cent of isophthalic acid 0-25 mole per cent of terephthalic acid and 0-20 mole per cent of a saturated aliphatic dicarboxylic acid. The aliphatic diol may be theylene glycol. A further coating of gelatin, or polyvinylidene chloride may be applied.
