Abstract

1,028,592. Toothbrushes, SUNBEAM CORPORATION. July 7, 1964 [Oct. 4, 1963], No. 27975/64. Heading A4K. [Also in Division F2] An electric toothbrush comprises a toothbrush 21 releasably secured to a shaft 22 driven by an electric motor housed in a handle 20. The coupling comprises a recess 32 in the toothbrush having a flat sided part 36, ribs 40, 41 and projections 40a, 41a which respectively engage a flat torque transmitting end 22b, a circular part 22a and a groove 24 in the shaft.' A split 38 in the end of the toothbrush facilitates assembly.
