Abstract

Moulding compositions comprise (1) a vinyl chloride polymer or copolymer or a polyvinyl chloride derivative, (2) 0.5 to 15% by weight of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer containing 10 to 70% by weight of vinyl acetate and having a relative viscosity of 1.8 to 4.0, and (3) a polyethylene or molecular weight not less than 100,000. The polyvinyl chloride derivative may be chlorinated polyvinyl chloride. The polyethylene is preferably a highly crystalline polymer of molecular weight at least 200,000, and may be used in the proportion of 5 to 80% by weight of the copolymer (2). Examples describe compositions comprising polyvinyl chloride, ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymers, polyethylene, a tin based stabilizer and a polyethylene oxide wax lubricant.
